On site, we have our Big Bocs Bwyd, which is a community 'pay as you feel' shop. It is a non-profit shop that has become a huge asset to the community. We have strong vision for sustainable living, lowering food waste and experiencing food literacy in its most authentic way. The children, staff, and community are a huge part of its success and through the efforts of all; our community allotment and garden is growing from strength to strength.

Vision and Values of the
Big Bocs Bwyd
Our aim is to ensure that no child is hungry and that every child is able to learn how to make good food choices that enable them to thrive.
Children and families will be provided with food at ‘pay as you feel’ prices and supported with authentic learning experiences through growing and cooking food.
The installation of a Big Bocs Bwyd in a school will be explicitly linked to the 4 purposes of the Curriculum for Wales, ensuring that children are:
•Healthy, confident individuals
•Ambitious, capable learners
•Ethical, informed citizens
•Enterprising, creative contributors
Every child will become food literate by growing, cooking and learning about food.
If you would like to volunteer and help grow and maintain our food in the allotment or help in the shop, please let us know via the school on 02920 345026 or grangetownns@cardiff.gov.uk
Many thanks
